KazTransOil increases oil transportation by 3% in 2011
ASTANA. Jan 11 (Interfax) - KazTransOil JSC pumped 54.019 million tonnes of oil through its own network of pipelines in January-October this year, an increase of 4% from 2010, the company said on Wednesday.
Oil transportation in the reporting period totaled 34.493 billion tonnes/km, a 4% rise from 2010.
For 2011, the volume of oil transported through the Atyrau-Samara section of the Uzen-Atyrau-Samara pipeline reached 15.427 million tonnes, up 1%.
In December 2011 Russian oil transportation through the Omsk-Pavlodar-Atasu-Alashankou pipeline was resumed. The volume of oil transported through the Atasu-Alashankou pipeline last year made 10.894 million tonnes (including 200,000 tonnes of Russian oil), an increase of 8% compared to 2010.
The transit of Russian oil through the TON-2 pipeline amounted to 5.432 million tonnes.
Oil supplies to domestic refineries totaled 13.19 million tonnes exceeding the level of 2010 by 488,000 tonnes, or 4%.
KazTransOil, a natural monopolist on the market of oil transportation through pipelines, is part of the Kazakhstani national oil and gas company KazMunayGas.
