Kazakhstan refines 0.3% more oil in 2011

ASTANA. Jan 16 (Interfax) - There was 13,725,758 tonnes of oil refined in Kazakhstan last year, 0.3% more than in 2010, a source in the Kazakh government told Interfax.

December alone saw the processing of 1,356,338 tonnes of crude.

Pavlodar Oil Refinery refined 4,649,345 tonnes of oil in 2011, 3.1% less than the year before, while PetroKazakhstan Oil Products processed 4,604,938 tonnes, 0.5% more. Atyrau Oil Refinery increased the amount of crude it refined by 4% to 4,471,475 tonnes.

There was 2,757,628 tonnes of automotive gasoline produced in the republic last year (4.7% more than in 2010). Pavlodar Oil Refinery produced 1,193,810 tonnes of it (9.2% less than in 2010), PetroKazakhstan Oil Products 995,626 tonnes (1.8% more), and Atyrau Oil Refinery 568,192 tonnes (5.5% less).

Kazakhstan produced 4,064,325 tonnes of diesel fuel in 2011 (0.2% less than in 2010), 3,660,145 tonnes of fuel oil (2.9% less), 1.102,623 tonnes of vacuum gas oil (40.2% more), 387,140 tonnes of aviation kerosene (20.9% less), and 2,146,872 tonnes of liquid gases (4.4% less).
