Gazprom to increase investment in Bashkortostan for gasification by 330% in 2012

UFA. Jan 17 (Interfax) - Russian gas OJSC Gazprom will allocate 300 million rubles for continuing the gasification of Bashkortostan in 2012, which is 330% more than in 2011.

According to a statement issued by Bashkortostan President Rustem Khamitov, the issue of gasification of populated areas, gas supply, and developing an all-Russian gas-chemical center with a techno-park in the town of Salavat were discussed at meeting between Khamitov and Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller in Moscow on Tuesday.

"The plans for working with Gazprom are good. We discussed the issue of continuing the republic's gasification. This year, Gazprom is allocating the unprecedented large amount of 300 million rubles," Khamitov was quoted as saying.

He said that Bashkortostan received 70 million rubles in investment from Gazprom for gasification. "Maybe, in two years, we'll reach the figure of 500 million rubles," Khamitov said.
