Putin says wants transparent presidential election
NOVO-OGARYOVO, near Moscow. Jan 18 (Interfax) - Prime Minister Vladimir Putin offered assurances on Wednesday that he wanted a completely transparent presidential election on March 4.
"I believe that one can only work at such level [as president] when there is real confidence and support on the part of the population. Then you should try to carry out all that you have planned. Otherwise you'd better not touch it," Putin said at a meeting with top media figures.
