EuroChem purchases gas producer Severneft-Urengoi

MOSCOW. Jan 19 (Interfax) - EuroChem Ho0lding has purchased gas producer LLC Severneft-Urengoi, the former company said in a statement.

EuroChem said that it has become the owner of 68% in the enterprise's capital, or a 100% stake with voting rights.

EuroChem filed an application with Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service to purchase a 100% stake in Severneft-Urengoi in October 2011. The company is an independent gas producer.

According to the SPARK database, LLC Severneft-Urengoi was registered in May 2011 in Ryazan. The co-owners in the enterprise were CJSC Rusneftegazresurs with 64.67%, LLC Global BiLand Communications - 32%, F-Management Ltd - 3.2% and company general director Dania Latypova - 0.06%.

A license for the Zapadno-Yaroyakhinsky section was reformed for the company in August 2011 after it belonged to Severneft. Two fields have been uncovered within the section: Severo-Esetinskoye and Vostochno-Urengoi. Reserves at these fields have yet to be specified. According to the Fuel and Energy Dispatch Center, Severneft produced 645.2 million cubic meters of gas in 2010 and 32.8.24 mcm in January-June 2011 - 328.24 mcm.

The company earlier said that EuroChem plans to supply 20%-25% of its own gas requirements through its gas assets. The company's enterprises currently require around 4.5 bcm of gas annually.
