Rusal ships 0.5% more aluminum by RZD rail network in 2011

MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax) - Smelters run by UC Rusal shipped 3.52 million tonnes of aluminum via the Russian Railways (RZD) network in 2011, up 0.5% from 3.5 million tonnes in 2010, the aluminum company said.

This included 3.157 million tonnes of export metal and 362,200 tonnes for Russia and the CIS.

The company also ships aluminum by road and barge.
