IMF mission to visit Azerbaijan in April
BAKU. Jan 23 (Interfax) - An International Monetary Fund mission headed by Nadeem Ilahi, the IMF country head for Azerbaijan, will visit Baku in April 2012, the IMF office in Baku told Interfax.
"The mission in Baku will hold consultations with the government of Azerbaijan on the macroeconomic situation, economic processes in the country and will discuss cooperation issues," the IMF office said.
Azerbaijan joined the IMF on September 18, 1992. It currently receives only technical aid from the IMF without funding.
