Orsk refinery boosts processing 2% in 2011

ORENBURG. Jan 23 (Interfax) - OJSC Orsknefteorgsintez, or Orsk Oil Refinery, processed 5.253 million tonnes of crude oil last year, 2.3% more than in 2010, the refinery told Interfax.

That included 4.93 million tonnes of oil and 323,100 tonnes of gas condensate. The selection of light oil products was 48.79% (48.07% planned) and depth of refining was 59.45% (58.63%).

The refinery turned out 741,900 tonnes of gasoline last year, including 80,500 tonnes of Premium-95, 398,900 tonnes of Regular-92, and 262,500 tonnes of Normal-80. The facility also produced 1,507 million tonnes of diesel fuel (up 3.8%), 272,300 tonnes of jet fuel (up 1%), and 56,200 tonnes of lubricating oils.

Orsknefteorgsintez is the biggest oil refinery in Orenburg Region, able to process 6.6 million tonnes of crude annually.

As reported, oil company RussNeft sold Orsknefteorgsintez to a number of foreign investors. Sermules Enterprises Ltd. owns 92.2% of voting shares in the company. Sermules is wholly owned by Britain's Cipation Holdings Ltd., belonging to Kazakh resident Igor Shkolnik.
