MICEX Index slumps under 1,500 points following weak results in Europe

MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax) - The MICEX Index slumped under 1,500 points on Monday while the RTS Index decreased to 1,550 points owing to negative market openings in Europe during the leadup to the European Union summit.

By 12:14 pm Moscow time, the MICEX Stock Exchange had decreased to 0.5% to 1,499.93% while the RTS Index had dropped by 0.9% to 1,551.71 points. Benchmark stocks on the MICEX-RTS Index have slipped 0.1%-1.4%.
