Russia could up oil exports 8% to 256 mln tonnes by 2020 - Transneft
MOSCOW. Feb 1 (Interfax) - Transneft's development strategy to 2020 forecasts that Russia will increase oil exports 8% by then compared with 2011 to 256 million tonnes, Igor Dyomin, the pipeline operator's spokesman, told Interfax.
This forecast is contained in Transneft's strategic development program for the period until 2020, which has been approved by the company's board of directors, Dyomin said.
For this year, Transneft expects to export 243.7 million tonnes of oil through its system. In 2014, it plans to export 248 million tonnes; in 2015 - 252 million tonnes; and in 2017 - 254 million tonnes.
