Gazprom to hold annual shareholders meeting on June 29, register closes May 10

MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - The board of directors of Gazprom has decided to hold the company's annual general shareholders meeting on June 29 in Moscow; the list of shareholders for participation in the meeting and dividend receipts will be compiled on May 10, Gazprom said in a press release.

So far, the agenda for the meeting is standard.

Twelve candidates have been put forward for the 11 spots on the board. From Russia's Federal Property Agency (Rosimushchestvo), all six of the current state representatives have been nominated - Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprombank Andrei Akimov, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov, Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of the National Economy and Public Administration Vladimir Mau, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, as well as Igor Yusufov and Farit Gazizullin. From Gazprom (Gazprom Gerosgaz Holdings B.V.), the nominated candidates include head of Gazprom's Pricing and Economic Expert Analysis Department Elena Karpel, Miller (always nominated twice - by the company and the government), deputy Gazprom heads Vitaly Markelov and Mikhail Sereda, head of the Civil Procedure Department at St. Petersburg State University's Faculty of Law Valery Musin, Chairman of the Legal Entities Association Kazakhstan Association of Oil, Gas and Energy Sector Organizations (KAZENERGY) and Chairman of the Presidium of the Legal Entities Association National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan (Atameken Union) Timur Kulibaev, and Rector of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas Victor Martynov (not currently on the board).
