Dollar edges down against ruble

MOSCOW. Feb 7 (Interfax) - The dollar edged down in early trading on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) Tuesday, as the euro inched up.

The dollar opened trade at 30.1-30.11 rubles/$1, down 1-2 kopecks from yesterday's closing and 12-13 kopecks below the official exchange rate.

The euro began the day at 39.45 rubles/EUR1, 11 kopecks above yesterday's closing but 6 below the official exchange rate.

The bi-currency basket ($0.55 and EUR0.45) started the day at 34.3 rubles, or 3 kopecks above yesterday's closing value.
