Ukrnafta reduces oil output 4.2% in Jan, gas production down 9.2%

KYIV. Feb 9 (Interfax) - PAO Ukrnafta, which is Ukraine's leading oil producer, reduced oil output 4.2% year-on-year to 171,520 tonnes in January 2012, the country's Energy and Coal Ministry told Interfax.

The company increased gas condensate production 7.3% to 17,590 tonnes.

At the same time, the enterprise reduced gas output 9% to 173.14 million cubic meters, including natural gas, down 9.2% to 133.42 mcm.

The company reduced oil production 6.2% to 2.0788 million tonnes in 2011, gas condensate - down 28.4% to 193,200 tonnes, and gas - 12.2% to 2.1466 billion cubic meters, including natural gas - 13.6% to 1.657 bcm.

Naftogaz Ukrainy owns 50% plus one share in Ukrnafta. A group of companies tied to the owners of Privatbank hold around 42% in the oil producer.
