UTair flies 43% more passengers in Jan

MOSCOW. Feb 13 (Interfax) - UTair Group increased passenger transport 42.8% year-on-year to 603,700 persons in January 2012, the company said in a statement.

The group's aircraft flew 559,700 passengers, up 46.7% year-on-year. Helicopter transport of passengers went up by 6.6% to 44,000 persons.

UTair's passenger turnover increased by 53.1% to 1.099 billion passenger-kilometers.

The group's airliners transported 1,434 tonnes of cargo, up 31.9% year-on-year. Helicopter transport of cargo increased by 15.7% to 6,170 tonnes.
