Kazakhstan reduces oil and condensate output 2.8% in Jan
ASTANA. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Total oil and gas condensate production in Kazakhstan, according to operational results, came to 6.876 million tonnes in January 2012, which was a year-on-year decrease of 2.8%, the Kazakh government told Interfax.
This figure includes condensate output, which came to 442,020 tonnes, down 4% year-on-year.
Oil company KazMunaiGaz produced 669,464 tonnes of oil and condensate, down 7.7% year-on-year in January.
Enterprises in which KazMunaiGaz holds an interest produced 3.6998 million tonnes of crude (down 2.4%). They include the Tengizshevroil joint venture JV, which reduced production 4.8% to 2.2228 million tonnes, OJSC Mangistaumunaigaz - up 1.5% to 493,675 tonnes, OJSC Kalamkasmunaigaz - up 0.3% to 358,360 tonnes, the Kazgermunai JV - up 13.7% to 272,844 tonnes, OJSC Petro Kazakhstan Kumkol Resources - up 1.9% to 227,155 tonnes, and OJSC Turgai-Petroleum - down 13.6% to 198,915 tonnes.
Other oil and gas producers in Kazakhstan posted 2 million tonnes in output for January.
