Information in agency databases need to be maximally open - Putin
NOVOSIBIRSK. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Information accumulated in agency databases has to be open to the maximum, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin thinks.
"I think that information accumulated in agency databases must be opened maximally. Naturally, with the exception of those documents classified as 'secret' or for service usage," Putin said in Novosibirsk on Friday at a meeting devoted to increasing the efficiency of state management with the aid of information technology.
It is necessary to provide public access to analyses, reports on agency activities, statistics, standards and programmatic documents and instructions, plans and strategies for territorial development, he said.
Such information often does not suffice for companies in the making of long-term plans and determining investment priorities, Putin said.
