Vimpelcom completes Orascom Telecom Holding spin-off

MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Vimpelcom Ltd. has finished the spin-off of certain assets of Orascom Telecom Holding to Naguib Sawiris' Weather Investments II S.a.r.l., in fulfilling its obligations under its acquisition of Wind Telecom S.p.A. from Weather II.

"The principal spin-off assets include OTH's investments in ECMS and Mobinil in Egypt and Koryolink in North Korea," Vimpelcom said in a press release.
