Gazprom to invest 8 bln rubles in gas production, processing facilities in Orenburg in 2012
ORENBURG. Feb 21 (Interfax) - OJSC Gazprom will set aside 8 billion rubles in 2012 to modernize the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant (GPP), drill production wells and reconstruct technological facilities at the Orenburg oil and gas condensate field, the company said in a press release.
In 2006-2011, Gazprom spent almost 55 billion rubles on these objectives.
Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller and Governor of the Orenburg region Yury Berg discussed the progress of implementing a cooperation agreement between the region and the company in Moscow on Tuesday.
This year, Gazprom intends to boost expenditures on the Orenburg region's gasification by 1.8-fold compared to last year, to 290 million rubles. It also plans to finish building six and constructing another 11 inter-settlement gas pipelines.
The cooperation agreement between Gazprom and the Orenburg regional government was signed in March 2006 and has no expiration date.
Gasification in the region currently stands at 92.1%, including 95.4% in cities and 84.9% in rural areas.
