Gazprom to earmark 600 mln rubles for gasification of Voronezh Region this year
VORONEZH. Feb 21 (Interfax) - OJSC Gazprom plans this year to earmark 600 million rubles for the gasification of the Voronezh region with the construction of 11 intersettlement gas pipelines covering 308 kilometers in distance in the region, the company said in a statement.
Work on gasification in the region was discussed on Tuesday at meeting between Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller and Governor Alexei Gordeyev.
It was noted at the meeting that Gazprom had earmarked almost 4.4 billion rubles for gasification in the region in 2002-2011. This helped boost the gasification level in the region to 80.1% compared to the average Russian figure, which is 63.2%. At the same time, the level of gasification in rural areas in the Voronezh region reached 57.8% compared to the all-Russian average of 46.8%.
At the meeting, Miller and Gordeyev reached an agreement that, following approval from both sides on the gas supply and gasification program for 2012-2015, a decision might be made for reconstructing six gas distribution stations, as well as the design of eight intersettlement gas pipelines.
The Voronezh Region plans to earmark 880 million rubles for its gasification program this year. By 2014, all necessary intersettlement gas pipelines should be built.
