MOSCOW. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Chris Baxter, who headed Renaissance Group's direct investment business, Renaissance Partners, has left the company, an informed source in financial circles told Interfax.

The source said that Baxter left the company at the start of 2012. However, Renaissance's website still presents him as head of this division.

Renaissance Capital declined to comment on this report.

Baxter started working at Renaissance Group in 2003. He has held various top-managerial posts such as head of Renaissance Capital's investment banking service department.

Prior to joining Renaissance, Baxter worked at Merrill Lynch in 1996-2003, where he oversaw the investment bank's involvement in the consolidation of oil and gas assets. Between 1987 and 1995, he worked at Chase Manhattan Bank in London.
