Agriculture Ministry ups grain export forecast to 28 mln tonnes

MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The Russian Agriculture Ministry has increased its projection of grain exports for the current agricultural year to 27-28 million tonnes from its previous 25 million tonne forecast.

"Russia will supply the world market with 27-28 million tonnes of grain," Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik said at roundtable talks during the Russian Agrarian Forum in Ufa on Tuesday.

Russia is exporting sugar, vegetable oil, poultry meat, and pork, the minister said.
