Sberbank to place additional 50 mln Swiss francs in Eurobonds
MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - Sberbank of Russia will place at least 50 million Swiss francs in additional Eurobonds, a source in financial circles told Interfax.
Yield on the additionally placed bonds is equal to the yield on the main issue.
In the middle of February, Sberbank placed 325 million Swiss francs in Eurobonds with a circulation period of 3.5 years. Yield was 3.1% per annum.
UBS, Credit Suisse and Troika Dialog organized the issue.
At the start of February, Sberbank placed $1 billion in five-year Eurobonds at 4.95% and $750 million in 10-year Eurobonds with yield at 6.1256%. The issue organizers were Barclays, BNP Paribas, Citigroup and Troika Dialog.
The placement of Sberbank's LPNs was the first transaction on the Russian market with Eurobonds in U.S. dollars since November 2011 (the last placement was made by gas giant Gazprom in mid-November).
Sberbank last went to the foreign borrowing market in the autumn of 2011. The bank raised a syndicated loan worth $1.059 billion at LIBOR+1.5% and 103.4 million euro at EURIBOR+1.1%.
