Russia had consolidated budget surplus of 849 bln rubles in 2011
MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - Russia had a consolidated budget surplus of 848.8 billion rubles in 2011, compared with a deficit of 1.585 trillion rubles in 2010, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said, quoting preliminary data.
Consolidated budget revenue, including state extra-budgetary funds, totaled 20.9 trillion rubles, up from 16.032 trillion rubles in 2010; and consolidated spending was 20.005 trillion rubles, up from 17.617 trillion rubles.
Tax revenues to the consolidated budget in 2011 included 4.665 trillion rubles from foreign economic activities or 22.4% of overall revenue; 3.528 trillion rubles in compulsory social insurance contributions (16.9%); 2.271 trillion rubles in corporate profit tax (10.9%); 2.085 trillion rubles from taxes, levies and royalties for the use of natural resources (10.0%); 1.996 trillion rubles from personal income tax (9.6%); 1.754 trillion rubles VAT on goods sold in Russia; 1.497 trillion rubles VAT on goods brought into in Russia; 678 billion rubles in property tax; 603.9 billion rubles excise on goods made in Russia; and 46.6 billion rubles excise on goods brought into Russia.
Consolidated budget expenditures in 2011 included 11.246 trillion rubles on social and cultural programs; 2.794 trillion rubles on the national economy; 1.517 trillion rubles on national defense; 1.519 trillion rubles on national security and law enforcement; 1.367 trillion rubles on general government needs; 1.195 trillion rubles on the housing and public utilities sector; and 329.1 billion rubles on government and municipal debt servicing.
Russia's federal budget surplus totaled 430.8 billion rubles in 2011, compared with a deficit of 1.812 trillion rubles in 2010. Revenue was 11.366 trillion rubles (8.305 trillion rubles a year previously) and spending - 10.95 trillion rubles (10.118 trillion rubles).
