Tajikistan imports 19.5% less light oil products in Jan-Feb
DUSHANBE. March 15 (Interfax) - Tajikistan imported 70,640 tonnes of light oil products in the first two months of this year, 19.5% less year-on-year, the country's presidential statistics agency reported.
Those imports cost $81.4 million, up 20.6% year-on-year and representing 13.1% of Tajikistan's total imports for the two-month period.
Gazpromneft-Tajikistan LLC, owned by OJSC Gazprom Neft , accounted for as much as 90% of the oil products imported into the republic.
Tajikistan has no oil refineries of its own. January-February oil production in the country amounted to 4,430 tonnes, or 15.2% more than for the same two months of last year.
