Dollar, euro edge down on Monday morning
MOSCOW. March 19 (Interfax) - The dollar and the euro edged down at the start of Monday's trade on the MICEX, while the ruble grew slightly against the bi-currency basket amid growth in world oil prices.
Early on Monday, the dollar stood at 29.24-29.25 rubles/$1, 3-4 kopecks below Friday's closing level and 11-12 kopecks less than the current official exchange rate.
The euro came to 38.5 rubles/EUR1, 7 kopecks down over Friday's closing value but 9 kopecks above the official exchange rate.
Meanwhile, the bi-currency basket ($0.55 and EUR0.45) stood at 33.41 rubles on Monday morning, down 5 kopecks over Friday's closing level.
