MOSCOW. March 20 (Interfax) - The dollar edged down and the euro, which posted gains in the international Forex market, inched up against the ruble in early trading on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) Tuesday.

The ruble was more or less steady against the dual currency basket amid uncertainty in the capital markets.

The euro began the day at 38.6 rubles/EUR1, which was 4-5 kopecks above yesterday's closing and 12 above the official exchange rate.

The bi-currency basket ($0.55 and EUR0.45) started the day at 33.41 rubles, or level with yesterday's closing value.
