Uralkali triples net profit to RAS in 2011

MOSCOW. March 20 (Interfax) - Uralkali almost tripled net profit to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) in 2011 to 42.572 billion rubles.

Sales revenue grew 2.3-fold to 99.826 billion rubles, the potash miner said in a statement.

Cost of sales rose 1.6-fold to 20.04 billion rubles, gross profit - 2.6-fold to 79.789 billion rubles, operating profit - 3.1-fold to 58.748 billion rubles and profit before tax - 2.9-fold to 49.712 billion rubles.

Investment totaled 10.686 billion rubles.

Fertilizer sales rose 80% last year to 8.899 million tonnes, 82% of which was exported.
