All work at Bushehr NPP goes as planned - Rosatom chief
POKROV, Vladimir region. March 21 (Interfax) - All installation and start-up procedures at the nuclear power plant (NPP) in Bushehr, Iran, are going as planned, the deadline for completion will be met, Federal Atomic Energy Agency (Rosatom) chief Sergei Kiriyenko said.
"There are no deviations from the schedule, everything is going in accordance with the dates set earlier," Kiriyenko said, responding to a question posed by Interfax in Pokrov on Wednesday.
He expressed bewilderment over allegations that the Bushehr NPP was to reach its design capacity on March 20.
This is a matter for Iran, Kiriyenko said.
"As far as we are concerned, everything is going as planned. There are no interim deadlines in the installation and starting of the plant, nor in the reaching of its design capacity. This is nonsense," he said.
