MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - Oil exports from Russia to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States slipped 2.8% year-on-year to 33.478 million tonnes, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said in a statement.

Physical oil-product export volume for the two months increased 1.9%, including a 11.9% increase in that of liquid fuels. Exports of automotive gasoline dropped 45.6% and those of diesel fuel 7.5%.

The value of the fuel and energy resources exported to non-CIS countries in January-February increased 24.5% year-on-year.

According to customs data, fuel and energy resources accounted for 74.8% to total exports to non-CIS countries in the first two months of 2012 (75.8% in the same period last year).

Physical oil delivery to CIS countries was up 49.8% year-on-year at 5.064 million tonnes for the two months.

Compared to January-February of last year, physical oil-product export volume was up 90%, including a doubling of diesel fuel exports and 130% more liquid-fuel exports.

The value of fuel and energy resources exported to the CIS increased 10.1% year-on-year in January-February. Those exports represented 66.1% of total exports to those countries (63.0% in January-February 2011).

Total Russian oil exports amounted to 38.542 million tonnes for the first two months of this year.

The FCS reported that natural gas exports from Russia totaled 38.2 billion cubic meters (bcm), including 24.8 bcm to non-CIS countries (up 26.8%) and 13.4 bcm to CIS countries (down 25.1%).
