Dollar, euro rise on ruble Tuesday
MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - The U.S. dollar and the euro posted gains against the ruble in Tuesday MICEX trading, and the bicurrency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45) rose 12 kopecks on the day to 33.86 rubles amid gloomy world capital markets.
The dollar ended the MICEX trading day up 9.75 kopecks at 29.7425 rubles and the euro rose 15 kopecks up at 38.9 rubles/EUR1.
The average weighted dollar rate slipped 0.06 of a kopeck to 29.6436 rubles/$1 in Today and added 1.14 kopecks to 29.6688 rubles/$1 in Tomorrow trading on the MICEX. Dollar trading volume for the day was $6.917 billion, with $1.451 billion in Today and $5.467 billion in Tomorrow trades.
The average weighted euro rate rose 12.65 kopecks to 38.814 rubles/EUR1 in Today and 7.6 kopecks to 38.8451 rubles/EUR1 in Tomorrow deals. Trading volume was EUR 475.134 million, with EUR 280.735 million in Today and EUR 194.399 million in Tomorrow exchanges.
The MosPrime Rate tacked on 7 basis points to 4.73% per annum.
