Russia to join world's top five leading economies in coming years - Putin

MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - Russia will find itself among the world's top five leading economies in the coming years, said Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

"In our estimate, Russia will join the world's five top leading economies in the next two-three years," Putin said in the State Duma on Wednesday.

Russia "is still lagging behind the most industrialized states three or four times in labor productivity, in other words, in the quality of the economy," he said.
