Export duty on Russian crude to fall $12 to $448.6/tonne on May 1
MOSCOW. April 16 (Interfax) - The standard export duty on Russian crude oil will fall to $448.6 a tonne on May 1, from $460.7 at present.
Alexander Sakovich, a Finance Ministry expert, told Interfax that Russian crude averaged at $120.7605 a barrel in the monitoring period March 15-April 14, inclusive. So the duty for May, calculated at a coefficient of 0.60, which is the difference between the monitoring price and the cut-of price for oil, will be $448.6 a tonne on May 1.
Sakovich said the discounted export duty on East Siberian oil and North Caspian oil, currently $241.5 a tonne, will be $232.4 a tonne in May.
The duty on light and dark petroleum products, which was unified at 66% of the duty on crude in October 2011, will be $296 a tonne in May. As of April 1, it was $304.0 a tonne.
The duty on gasoline exports, based on a coefficient of 0.90, will be $403.7 a tonne in May, compared with $414.6 a tonne in April.
The duty on liquefied gas, currently $158.6, will be $196.6 a tonne.
