RusHydro to hold annual general shareholders meeting June 8
MOSCOW. April 18 (Interfax) - The board of directors of Russian power generating company OJSC RusHydro decided at an April 17 meeting to schedule the company's annual general shareholders meeting for June 8, RusHydro said in a statement.
The list of shareholders with the right to participate in the meeting will be compiled on April 23.
RusHydro's main shareholder is the government, which owns 58.6% of its capital. The Russian Economic Development Ministry proposes lowering the government's stake in the company to 50% plus one share in 2012, but the Energy Ministry opposes such a measure.
RusHydro's charter capital is divided into 290,302,702,379 ordinary shares of par value 1 ruble each.
At the moment, the company is in the process of placing an additional shares issue to receive several assets in Siberia and in the Far East. At a full placement, RusHydro's capital could grow by almost 30%.
