DIXY Group revenue soars 93% in Q1

MOSCOW. April 24 (Interfax) - DIXY Group , one of Russia's leading retailers, saw its consolidated revenue for January-March 2012 soar 93.1% year-on-year to 34.7 billion rubles, the company said in a press release.

The figure includes Victoria Group revenue from the acquisition date on June 15 of last year.

Revenue in dollars rose 21.6% in the quarter to $1.1 billion.

Pro-forma revenue, including the Victoria chain, rose 21.6% in rubles and 17.6% in dollars.

In March, consolidated revenue grew 93.7% to 12.4 billion rubles and 93.1% to $421.3 million. Pro-forma revenue grew 22.2% in rubles and 21.8% in dollars.

The Dixy group opened 56 stores in January-March. It shut four Dixy and three Kvartal stores. As of March 31, it had 1,168 stores in total, including 1,117 neighborhood stores, 32 supermarkets, 18 hypermarkets and one Cash & Carry.
