Inter RAO decides not to buy Quadra from Onexim

MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - OJSC Inter RAO UES has decided not to buy OJSC Quadra - Generating Company as it has not been able to agree a price with the main shareholder - Onexim Group.

"Both we and they are sticking to our price expectations. I do not see the possibility of our positions becoming closer," Ilnar Mirsiyapov, head of strategy and investment and member of the board at Inter RAO UES, told the press.

He did not say what the figures for each company were, just that the difference was not very high and not a double-figure percentage.

Inter RAO managed to carry out due diligence and agree on guarantees, but could not agree on price in the end.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service rejected a request from CJSC Inter RAO Capital mid-2011 to acquire over 75% of Quadra. Despite that, the holding company said it might make the request again.
