Russian stock market opens with RTS, MICEX indices rising
MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - The Russian stock market opened for business on Saturday with blue chip prices on the rise after gains in the United States on Friday, at the RTS and MICEX indices posted early gains.
By 10:01 a.m. Moscow time, the MICEX index was up 0.07% at 1470.63 points and the RTS index 0.03% at 1594.72 points.
VTB was up 0.2%, Gazprom had risen 0.1%, Norilsk Nickel 0.3%, Polyus Gold 0.3%, Rosneft 0.2%, Rostelecom 0.3%, Sberbank of Russia 0.02%, Surgutneftegas 0.1%, Russian oil pipeline company OJSC Transneft 0.8%, and FGC UES 0.6%.
