Export duty on Russian crude falls 2.6% to $448.6/tonne on May 1

MOSCOW. May 2 (Interfax) - The standard export duty on Russian crude oil fell to $448.6 a tonne on May 1, from $460.7 in April, in accordance with government decree 352, signed on April 23.

The discounted export duty on East Siberian oil and North Caspian oil, previously $241.5 a tonne, was raised to $232.4 a tonne for May.

The duty on light and dark petroleum products, which was unified at 66% of the duty on crude in October 2011, will be $296 a tonne this month. As of April 1, it was $304 a tonne.

The duty on gasoline exports, based on a coefficient of 0.90, is now $403.7 a tonne, compared with $414.6 a tonne in April.

Starting in April, the duty on propylene trimers and tetramers is a separate position, and the coefficient on which the export duty on them is based changed from 0.90 to 0.065 (i.e. 90% to 6.5% of the duty on crude oil). Accordingly, the export duty on this category of petroleum product is $29.9 in May.

The duty on liquefied gas, $158.6 in April, is now $196.6 a tonne.
