Ukraine could help build Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline
KYIV. May 4 (Interfax) - Ukraine is prepared to help build the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at a meeting with Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan.
"We follow your negotiations with Azerbaijan regarding the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline's construction closely. Moreover we are prepared to participate in the construction of this pipeline, both financially and by supplying pipes and compressor stations," Azarov said.
Ukraine has been working actively on ways to diversify its sources of gas, he said.
Ukraine and Turkey could coordinate their positions n energy, he said.
Azarov suggested that all energy issues be discussed at the fourth session of a working group on energy in Kyiv in May-June.
