Protek might pay 943 mln rubles in dividends for past years, 2011 and Q1 2012
MOSCOW. May 10 (Interfax) - The board of directors at Russian pharmaceutical major OJSC Protek has made a recommendation to shareholders that they, at their annual meeting, decide in favor of paying dividends out of undistributed profit for the results of previous years, as well as 2011 and the first quarter of this year, the company said in a statement.
Out of undistributed profit from previous years, 84,432,857 rubles might be earmarked for dividends, or at a rate of 16 kopecks per common share.
For 2011's results, the board recommends earmarking 52,714,285 rubles, or 10 kopecks per share, and for the first quarter of 2012, a total payout of 806,528,571 rubles, or 1.53 rubles per share.
The total payout to the company's owners might come to 943,585,713 rubles.
Protek's annual shareholder meeting is slated for June 26. The register for taking part in the meeting closed on May 8.
Protek did not pay dividends for 2010. Protek paid only interim dividends for 2009 for the year's first half and January-September period at a combined amount of 700.07 million rubles compared to 166.5 million rubles for 2008.
The company's net profit according to international financial reporting standards (IFRS) practically doubled for 2011 compared to the previous year, reaching 1.88 billion rubles.
Protek Group includes CV Protek, the biggest wholesale distributor of pharmaceuticals in Russia, as well as four production companies (Sotex being the main operation) and the Rigla pharmacy chain.
