Russia ups ferrous metal exports 12.5% in Q1

MOSCOW. May 11 (Interfax) - Russia raised ferrous metal exports to non-CIS countries in tonnage 12.5% year-on-year in January-March, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said.

Ferroalloy exports grew 38.6%, iron and non-alloyed steel semis - 29.6% and pig iron - 5.8%.

The FCS said ferrous metal imports from non-CIS countries fell 2.9% year-on-year in January-March in tonnage.
