Investigators seize documents from Sukhoi Civil Aircraft
MOSCOW. May 15 (Interfax) - Investigators from the Russian Investigative Committee have confiscated flight documents from Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, the developer and manufacturer of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) passenger plane that crashed in Indonesia on May 9, Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin told Interfax.
"Investigators seized flight documents and correspondence with Indonesia, and the seized documents are being examined now," he said.
Russia passed samples of blood of close relatives of its citizens who perished in the crash to Indonesia through its ambassador on Tuesday so that DNA analysis of their remains could be made, he said.
The SSJ100 carrying 48 people from five countries, including eight Russians, crashed into Mount Salak in the western part of Java on the morning of May 9. No one survived the crash. Rescue teams discovered the plane's wreckage on the morning of May 10.
