G8 political declaration not coordinated yet but that is normal - Voskresensky
MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) - A political declaration of the G8 summit of May 18-19 has not been coordinated, but that is not unusual, Russian Deputy Economic Development Minister, G20 Sherpa Stanislav Voskresensky told a Thursday press briefing.
"Practically every item of the political declaration has not been coordinated as yet. That is not unusual," he said.
G8 summits always agree to political matters at the very last moment, the official noted.
Meanwhile, the delegates have updated a formula of the fiscal consolidation of European countries, he said. "As for the global economy, wordings for fiscal consolidation of European countries are being specified. That is a question of wordings, not of approaches," he remarked.
