Czech Republic cuts June request for Russian oil supplies to 150,000 tonnes

MOSCOW. May 17. (Interfax) - The Czech Republic has lowered its request for Russian oil supplies for June to 150,000 tonnes, OJSC Transneft's Press Officer Igor Dyomin told journalists.

"The Czech Republic has reduced its request for June to 150,000 tonnes, whereas earlier oil supplies to the country were 400,000 tonnes for June," he said. Oil deliveries to the Czech Republic could be made by Gazprom Neft , Lukoil and Rosneft . However, June volumes have not yet been formed, he said.

Dyomin did not specify the reason for the reduction.

As reported, Lukoil does not plan to deliver oil to the Czech Republic in the second quarter of this year due to a lack of requests from that country. A source familiar with the situation said that Rosneft is also not interested in sending oil in that direction. According to the source, the decline in deliveries by Lukoil and Rosneft to the Czech Republic is connected with pricing conditions.
