Russian oil production up 1.9% in 4M - Rosstat

MOSCOW. May 17. (Interfax) - Russian oil and gas condensate production grew 1.9% year-on-year to 170 million tonnes in January-April 2012, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported.

Production of natural gas, including associated gas, edged up 0.3% to 241 billion cubic meters (bcm) in the four months.

Primary oil refining in Russia climbed 5.4% to 88.2 million tonnes.

Automobile gasoline output in the four months reached 12.2 million tonnes (a year-on-year increase of 106.4%). Diesel fuel production soared 96.4% to 22.6 million tonnes. In the first quarter of 2012, Russian oil refineries turned out 24.8 million tonnes of fuel oil (up 10.3%).
