Gold in Central Bank of Russia reserves unchanged at 896 tonnes in April
MOSCOW. May 18 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia had 28.8 million Troy ounces (895.78 tonnes) of gold in its reserves as of May 1, 2012, as much as a month previously, the CB said on its web site.
The gold was worth $47.912 billion on May 1, 2012, up 0.1% from April 1.
Gold accounted for 9.14% of the reserves as of May 1, 2012, compared with 9.31% on April 1 and 8.96% on January 1.
The CB has said it plans to increase the share of gold in its reserves.
