Khudainatov likely to stay in Rosneft as 1st vice president - source

MOSCOW. May 22 (Interfax) - Eduard Khudainatov, today's head of Rosneft , received a governmental offer to take the position of first vice president in the Russian state oil company after President Dmitry Medvedev gave the firm's top office to former deputy prime minister Igor Sechin, a source close to Rosneft told Interfax.

Rosneft has made no comments on the words of the source, who said Khudainatov would most likely accept the offer.

Medvedev said earlier that he had ordered Rosneft's board to appoint Sechin as the company's chief executive.

Under Rosneft's charter, the duties of president and chief executive are to be combined by the same person. Khudainatov has been president and chief executive since September 2010.

Sechin was chairman of Rosneft's board of directors from 2006 to 2011. He oversaw the energy sector in the former Cabinet.
