Khudainatov to remain at Rosneft as senior VP - source
MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Rosneft president Eduard Khudainatov will probably continue to work at the state oil major as senior vice president following former Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin's appointment as head of the company, a source close to the company told Interfax.
He said Khudainatov has received such a proposal from the Russian government.
The company is not commenting on this information.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said earlier that he has signed an order for Rosneft's board of directors to appoint Sechin head of the oil company.
Under Rosneft's charter, the company's president is also its chief executive officer. Khudainatov has held this post since September 2010.
Sechin was chairman of Rosneft's board from 2006 to 2011. In the former Cabinet, he was in charge of the fuel and energy sector.
