Russian agricultural watchdog to ban fish imports from another Vietnamese co on May 28
MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Another company - DL 308 will be added to the list of companies in Vietnam that are banned from exporting fish on May 28.
Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor reported that a check on a consignment of pangasius fillet from this company showed a high volume of mesophilic aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms. This is a violation of Customs Union and Russian veterinary and sanitary standards.
Rosselkhoznadzor has told the Vietnamese Agriculture Ministry that a temporary restriction will be imposed from May 28 on the import of fish and fish and seafood products from DL 308 and asked that the company carry out an investigation to establish the reasons for the microbial contamination and to make sure dangerous products are not supplied to Russia.
Russia banned imports of fish products from two Vietnamese companies on May 22. Imports from eight companies are subject to heightened control.
