Gazprombank withdraws as Severgazbank shareholder
MOSCOW. May 24. (Interfax) - Gazprombank , who previously owned 11.5549% of Severgazbank, has withdrawn as a shareholder in the Vologda-based bank, according to its official information.
Last November, Gazprombank subsidiary LLC New Financial Technologies sold its majority stake (86.81%) in Severgazbank to an outside investor not connected with the Gazprombank group. Gazprombank was left with 11.55%.
"The sale of Severgazbank is the next stage in implementing the Gazprombank banking group's business optimization plan, aimed at unifying its corporate management structure and raising the group's reliability and efficiency," deputy chairman of Gazprombank's management board Nikolai Korenev said at the time.
Moscow-based LLC Nordinvest became Severgazbank's new controlling shareholder. According to Interfax's SPARK database, Nordinvest's co-owners, registered at a single legal address, are CJSC Investment Alliance, Independent Investments, Systems Development, as well as Partnership Development and Creation and Development.
Severgazbank has 12 branches in Yaroslavl, Uglich, Cherepovets, Ivanovo, Syktyvkar, Vorkut, Veliky Ustyug, Veliky Novgorod, Kotlas, Arkhangelsk, Ukhta and St. Petersburg. It also has 50 satellite offices and 12 cash offices outside of its teller network.
Severgazbank was Russia's 125th largest bank by assets at the end of Q1 2012, according to the Interfax-100 ranking.
