Govt returns anti-tobacco law to Health Ministry over technical issues, it will be resubmitted - Skvortsova
MOSCOW. May 28 (Interfax) - Russian Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova said the government has returned the bill radically restricting smoking in public places for improvement.
"Some technical nuances were not taken into account. The document was not approved by some agencies. It's not a problem, it has been returned. We will now quickly conduct all approval procedures and will resubmit it," Skvortsova told reporters in Moscow on Monday.
"The problems were purely technical," she said.
"The law was submitted in a rush due to the reorganization of the ministry. It was done with good intentions," the minister said.
